After much prayer and our husband's support and encouragement, Valerie and I have decided that raising, breeding, and showing dogs is no longer a priority to us. Our friendship and partnership has been a God send. But in order to focus more on family, church, and homeschooling and an adoption, we are dispersing our dogs that we are not keeping. Most of them have already been placed in their new forever homes, but feel free to email us to see who is available. We are sad, but elated, as it is bittersweet - leaving what is behind and going on to what lies ahead. We are blessed to have made the friends we have made and we hope they know who they are and how much they have meant to us. We are excited about the friendship we have made with eachother - we are like sisters! Please feel free to check back for future plans - who knows . . . a litter in a couple of years may not be out of the question, but for now showing and breeding will take the back burner. We want to have fun again with the dogs we are keeping.
Personal thanks to Cheryl Bradley (Keepsake), Debbie Tapp (MillCreek), Flo McDaniel (McMatt), Kim Ennis (Kaleidoscope), Jamie Clute (professional handler), and Kelly Curtin (Al Nair) for their assistance "along the way." (please forgive any oversights)
Blessings to you all and thanks ~ Sonia and Valerie and our sweet families

Statement concerning the Miniature Australian Shepherd, and the Toy Australian Shepherd.
Copied from USASA's website . . . we agree wholeheartedly with this statement.
Recently there has been a rise in the movement to breed miniature and toy versions of the Australian Shepherd.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd and the Toy Australian Shepherd are not recognized or considered varieties of the Australian Shepherd by this organization, the United States Australian Shepherd Association, Inc. (USASA), or by the American Kennel Club (AKC). Since these dogs are not AKC registered, they cannot be verified by USASA as purebred, and therefore are not considered Australian Shepherds by this organization.
The USASA does not support the purposeful breeding of Miniature Australian Shepherds and Toy Australian Shepherds, and expects all members who have breeding programs to breed to the USASA/AKC recognized standard of excellence. The USASA further expects all members to be ever vigilant in the preservation and protection of the Australian Shepherd.
